There is a Hessian Soldier of the Pennsylvania Patriarch named Johannes Ulrich Zeth. He was born in 1758 in Bellings, Principality of Hessen-Hnau (now Germany) and died April 16, 1820 in Claywsburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania. He arrived in the U.S. as a member of the Hessen-Hanau Erbprinz Regiment, which fought on the side of the British in the American Revolution.
