Calhoun Hall- Winter/Spring 1996

This is where I spent my first two semesters at. The wonderful and oh so architecturally stimulating, Calhoun Hall. I had the luck of living in the middle of the arch so not only does all of the wind get funneled through your room, but it is also the smallest room on the floor. Good ole room 623 was mine. I was told when I first inquired that I was going to have a single. That would be cool but to my surprise, when I showed up to move in on that cold snow-filled day (blizzard of '96) I saw that there was someone else already living in my room...and to his surprise (when he got back) there was someone else living in his room. Well, to my roommate for two semesters, Ben Shive, I thank you for putting up with me for the time that you had to do it.

Here it is, the wonderful Calhoun Hall. Okay, so it isn't that wonderful but at least it is not sinking. My room was the one in the center on the sixth floor. Or the third window down from the top.
Well, at least Calhoun was the closest dorm to the sand volleyball courts that were right across the street. I spent many a summer days playing here, and many of hours that I probably should have been in class, too. One good thing about being in the center of the dorm is that we had a great view of the courts from there and were always able to check out all the volleyball action, and all of the sun bathing spectators.
